Hello Everyone!
I hope that you had a wonderful FRC kickoff day, and that you are as pumped as I am for this season! In the wake of such a great event, we've got some information for those of you still needing more info on the game, or simply needing details so you can keep brainstorming. Before I start throwing out links, lets go over our meeting schedule. For the next few weeks until build season is done we'll have a pretty consistent schedule of meetings. We'll be meeting Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday every week. Tuesdays and Thursdays we'll meet 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Friday will be 5:30 to 9:00 pm. Saturday will be 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. We would appreciate if everyone could make every meeting. Alright, first in the barrage of links, here is the game manual: https://rps01.usfirst.org/frc/manual/2015/FRC2015GameManual.pdf This details all of the rules for the competition, all of the robot rules, and basically anything you would want to know about Recycle Rush. Please make sure to read the competition rules though! We need all students to understand all of the rules of play, whether you're on the drive team or not. However, the game manual sometimes misses stuff, so here is the game's Q&A page: https://frc-qa.usfirst.org/Questions.php This won't open fully till January 7th, but once it does please check it. You often don't know what you don't know! Finally, here are the field drawings and tour videos. These will become more useful as we design robot components and build a mock up field, so might as well get familiar with them now. http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/2015-Official-FIRST-Field-Drawings Lets get ready for another season of FIRST robotics! Thanks, Grayson
