As you probably know, kickoff is very soon: January 3rd! With that in mind, here are some important details about the kickoff.
The Kickoff event is usually held at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. However, it is not required that teams attend, so you guys voted in the survey to meet at the shop. The kickoff webcast starts at 8:30, so we need everyone at the shop by 8:15 at the latest. We'll watch the kickoff webcast, talk a bit about the game and get right into brainstorming. We'll decide when to end the meeting as we finish up brainstorming. Please bring a lunch and a water bottle.
Finally, for those of you looking for an extra challenge, you can try to decipher the game hint which can be found here.
There will be an parent meeting on Dec 17th at 6:30 pm in the Shea A room at the Highlands Ranch Library (directions to the library are below). The Shea A room is on the first floor to the left of the Children's section as you enter the library. The meeting should last no longer than an hour, preferably less than 45 minutes. The meeting will cover plans and schedule for build season, fundraising, volunteer needs and registration.
Additionally we have a great new fundraising program through King Soopers. The team will buy gift cards which we can then be loaded and used for gas groceries. 5% of the funds spent on the card go to the team and the cards can have funds added to them every time you check out. Initially the cards cost $25 and come preloaded with $25. Thank you to Greg Bloom for getting this fundraiser started. Mr. Bloom is putting together a list of anyone who wants to buy one, so if you'd like one please email him at email@example.com.
